Abstract

The phenomenon of possession remains a challenge in theological institutions such as STT Abdi Sabda Medan, where new students frequently experience such occurrences, making deliverance ministry an urgent pastoral necessity; this study aims to understand students’ experiences with possession, their spiritual backgrounds, and the effectiveness of deliverance ministry using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, involving observations and interviews with students and deliverance practitioners the findings indicate that possession can be analyzed from psychological, anthropological, and theological perspectives, and the deliverance ministry conducted by the Deliverance Ministry Team (DMT) at STT Abdi Sabda has been proven to bring spiritual and emotional transformation to affected students.
