Abstract

Research on religious education for children with disabilities at SLB/B GMIM DAMAI TOMOHON aims to answer and provide solutions to three problems, namely first, regarding the reality of educational competencies that teach Christian religious education, second, the learning process for Christian religious education, and third, supporting and inhibiting factors for education at SLB/B. This study was conducted at SLB/B GMIM DAMAI TOMOHON using qualitative research and observation of a simple individual learning model for classroom management in Christian religious education lessons. The results of this study found that educational competency staff with a religious background do not have special education competency, therefore there is a need for religion. Or conduct training for teaching staff with a background in PLB with religious education learning models. Apart from that, the learning process must pay attention to the types of students with disabilities to make the religious education learning process more effective, the classical model by combining it in one class is not effective and more realistic learning models are efficient.
