The main objective of this study is to reinterpret the text in order to highlight the active role of women and to critique the patriarchal system that has marginalized their existence in the discourse of church ministry. The methodology used is a feminist hermeneutic approach referring to the thoughts of Elizabeth Schüssler Fiorenza, particularly through the application of a hermeneutic of suspicion as a critical reading tool for power relations within the text. Thus, the central argument of this writing emphasizes that women in Luke 24:1–12 emerge as subjects exhibiting perseverance, initiative, and faithfulness in ministry, thus deserving recognition and an equal role alongside men in the realm of gospel proclamation. This interpretation highlights the importance of gender equality and encourages the need for structural reforms in church services that are more inclusive of women's involvement.
2025-07-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Sry Novita Tondanghttps://ejournal.teologi-ukit.ac.id/index.php/educatio-christi/article/view/187Kepemimpinan Yesus Yang Bersahabat Sebagai Model Pendekatan Pelaksanaan Pelayanan Pastoral Pranikah Di Jemaat GMIM Musafir Pinokalan2025-08-01T04:04:45+00:00Djulindah Kotulus[email protected]Sandra Korua[email protected]
Premarital pastoral care is an important aspect in preparing couples for a healthy and harmonious Christian marriage life in accordance with the teachings of the Bible. However, in reality, the GMIM Musafir Pinokalan congregation does not yet have an appropriate teaching method for prospective brides and grooms, which is only carried out through lectures. This study uses the theory of Jesus' friendly leadership to examine the application of the principles of Jesus' friendly leadership in the context of premarital pastoral care at GMIM Musafir Pinokalan. Using a qualitative approach, this study identifies challenges in premarital pastoral care, including a lack of personal approach, limited attention, and overly formal teaching methods. The results of this study propose solutions that include improving the approach through a more relational approach, deeper attention, and the use of interactive and experience-based teaching methods to build closer and more effective relationships.
2025-07-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Djulindah Kotulus, Sandra Koruahttps://ejournal.teologi-ukit.ac.id/index.php/educatio-christi/article/view/257Membangun Pelayanan Digital Bagi Gen Z di Platform Instagram2025-08-28T05:55:28+00:00Pascalin Dwi Aprilia[email protected]
Generation Z as the generation that was born in the midst of technological and internet developments cannot be separated from existing social media. In fact, all the activities and needs of generation Z are carried out using their cellphones, including socializing with other people. Generation Z can spend hours a day scrolling through social media. The church as a community is challenged to be present on social media that is of interest to generation Z so that the church can reach out and carry out digital services for generation Z. The method used in this research is a qualitative method. The author will dialogue between the data obtained and the source of knowledge. In this paper, the authors suggest that the church can optimize its ministry on the Instagram platform. Instagram is one of the social media that Generation Z is currently interested in and has various features that can be used by the church to carry out various types of digital services to generation Z. Thus, the church is expected to build relationships with generation Z by doing what Drescher calls LACE. Insecurity is a feeling of insecurity, fear, and self-doubt commonly experienced by today’s youth. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, where the author analyzes the passage of John 14:16–26 through a thematic hermeneutical approach and relates it to theological literature as well as the realities of contemporary youth life. The results show that the Holy Spirit acts as Comforter, Helper, and Giver of peace who accompanies believers. The presence of the Holy Spirit provides spiritual strength, inner calm, and assurance of identity in Christ. Thus, young people who experience insecurity can gain firmness and hope through a personal relationship with the Holy Spirit.
2025-07-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Kardia Kaligis, Peggy Sandra Tewuhttps://ejournal.teologi-ukit.ac.id/index.php/educatio-christi/article/view/195Falsafah Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou Sebagai Identitas Misi Bagi Gereja di Era Digital2025-08-01T04:04:46+00:00Zefanya Vallen Sambur[email protected]Linda Patricia Ratag[email protected]
This study aims to examine the alignment between the contemporary mission of the church and the Minahasan cultural philosophy of Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou, which upholds deeply humanistic values. Amid the challenges of globalization and rapid digital development, the church is called to be not only a spiritual institution but also a humanizing agent that manifests God's love and justice in real-life contexts. The philosophy of Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou, which means "to live is to humanize others," offers a contextual and theological foundation for the church to carry out inclusive, relational, and transformative ministry. This research affirms that the integration of local cultural values with theological mission understanding strengthens the church’s identity as a community living in solidarity with society—both physically and digitally—in order to proclaim God's love through concrete actions.
2025-07-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Zefanya Vallen Sambur, Linda Patricia Rataghttps://ejournal.teologi-ukit.ac.id/index.php/educatio-christi/article/view/249Pandangan Yohanes Calvin Mengenai Korelasi Antara Justification Dan Sanctification Sebagai Sebuah Pendekatan Membangun Nilai Diri2025-08-28T05:57:03+00:00Kevin Wuwung[email protected]Roy Dekky Tamaweol[email protected]Michael Manumpil[email protected]
The understanding of God’s grace in justification and sanctification serves as the foundation of Christian faith within Reformed theology. John Calvin emphasizes justification as the work of God declaring humanity righteous through faith in Christ, while sanctification is the renewal of life by the Holy Spirit as the fruit of faith. This study highlights the issue of congregational identity crisis and the declining understanding of self-worth rooted in God’s grace. Using a qualitative approach with theological-descriptive analysis through the study of Reformed theological sources, the research finds that justification provides the basis for spiritual identity, while sanctification restores character according to the image of God. This understanding affirms that self-worth is not built on worldly achievements but on God’s grace, making it highly relevant in addressing contemporary identity crises.
2025-07-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Kevin Wuwung, Roy Dekky Tamaweol, Michael Manumpilhttps://ejournal.teologi-ukit.ac.id/index.php/educatio-christi/article/view/192Meneladani Yesus sebagai Sahabat: Model Kepemimpinan dalam Katekisasi Sidi Untuk Meningkatkan Religiusitas Sidi Jemaat2025-08-01T04:04:46+00:00Vina Anjeli Najoan[email protected]Hein Arina[email protected]Ferry Lumintang[email protected]
In the church tradition, catechism is an important moment in the formation of faith before someone declares their commitment to faith. The method in catechism plays an important role in increasing the religiosity of participants. However, in practice, the teaching methods used are often one-way, dominated by lectures and memorization of doctrine, which provide little space for participants to ask questions and discuss so that the learning process feels rigid because it creates a distance between the Catechism Leader and participants. In response to this challenge, this study proposes the leadership model of Jesus as a Friend as a new approach in the catechism process. Jesus in His ministry not only taught with authority, but was present closely, listened, had a dialogue, and built an equal relationship with His disciples. This model is offered in this study so that catechism can be more alive and make participants feel appreciated. By emulating Jesus as a Friend, this study offers a dialogical and egalitarian leadership approach to increase the religiosity of Catechism Participants. This study was conducted at SLB/B GMIM DAMAI TOMOHON using qualitative research and observation of a simple individual learning model for classroom management in Christian religious education lessons. The results of this study found that educational competency staff with a religious background do not have special education competency, therefore there is a need for religion. Or conduct training for teaching staff with a background in PLB with religious education learning models. Apart from that, the learning process must pay attention to the types of students with disabilities to make the religious education learning process more effective, the classical model by combining it in one class is not effective and more realistic learning models are efficient.
2025-07-29T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Christy Mentu, Vanny Suoth, Mieke Nova Sendowhttps://ejournal.teologi-ukit.ac.id/index.php/educatio-christi/article/view/173Kajian Teologis Penggembalaan Reformatoris dalam Semangat Si Tou Timou Tumou Tou2025-08-12T12:46:50+00:00Yuansari Kansil[email protected]Herdianto Lantemona[email protected]Hendry C. It asks: how do social and theological systems influence the creation of congregational music in GMIM’s local context? The study uses a multidisciplinary approach to apply the Systems Model of Creativity and Optimal Distinctiveness Theory alongside constructivist grounded theory methods. Field data includes interviews, observations, and document analysis. The case study focuses on Nyanyikanlah Nyanyian Baru bagi Tuhan (NNBT), a locally produced hymnal illustrating the interaction between creative individuals, institutional structures, and theological and cultural norms. Findings show that congregational songs serve as tools for theological participation and collective identity formation. Creativity arises not in isolation but through social negotiation, balancing community belonging with distinct expression. These insights guide Christian communities seeking to cultivate creative ecosystems that shape faith, worship, and local identity.
2025-07-31T13:05:45+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Matt Mengerhttps://ejournal.teologi-ukit.ac.id/index.php/educatio-christi/article/view/200The Kolubung Tradition in West Pangian Village In George Herbert Mead's Theory of Symbolic Interactionism2025-08-01T04:04:46+00:00Matulandi Arthur Tewu[email protected]Jeysi Preasilia Paendong[email protected]Nontje Mery Timbuleng[email protected]Olga Neltje Komaling[email protected]Ventje Albert Talumepa[email protected]
This research aims to understand how the meaning of this tradition is formed through social interactions, using the symbolic interactionism approach of George Herbert Mead. The main question posed is how individuals and the community of Pangian Barat Village develop shared meaning through participation in the Kolubung tradition. The research methodology employs a qualitative approach with in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, along with thematic analysis. Data were collected from members of the community involved in the Kolubung tradition and analyzed to identify the social meanings that are formed in the practice. The results of the study indicate that the Kolubung Tradition functions as a symbol of mourning and as a space for building social solidarity and strengthening relationships among community members. This finding highlights the importance of preserving local traditions as part of social identity and community solidarity, even in the face of changing challenges. This research enriches the understanding of the role of symbols in local traditions and can serve as a foundation for further research regarding the role of the younger generation in maintaining these traditions.
2025-07-31T14:17:59+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Matulandi Arthur Tewu, Jeysi Preasilia Paendong, Nontje Mery Timbuleng, Olga Neltje Komaling, Ventje Albert Talumepahttps://ejournal.teologi-ukit.ac.id/index.php/educatio-christi/article/view/179Analisis Biblis Teologi Perjanjian Lama dan Perjanjian Baru Terhadap Pelayanan Pelepasan Pemulihan dari Kuasa Kegelapan2025-08-28T05:48:35+00:00Boby Andika Sinaga[email protected]
The phenomenon of possession remains a challenge in theological institutions such as STT Abdi Sabda Medan, where new students frequently experience such occurrences, making deliverance ministry an urgent pastoral necessity; this study aims to understand students’ experiences with possession, their spiritual backgrounds, and the effectiveness of deliverance ministry using a qualitative method with a phenomenological approach, involving observations and interviews with students and deliverance practitioners the findings indicate that possession can be analyzed from psychological, anthropological, and theological perspectives, and the deliverance ministry conducted by the Deliverance Ministry Team (DMT) at STT Abdi Sabda has been proven to bring spiritual and emotional transformation to affected students.

Keywords: anthropology, deliverance, possession, psychology, spirituality, theology
2025-07-31T00:00:00+00:00Copyright (c) 2025 Boby Andika Sinaga
